TRIBECA — A woman was grabbed by the coat collar and shoved into a wall by a thief who was after her handbag in TriBeCa last weekend, police said.

The 29-year-old Battery Park City woman was walking into the 2 train station at Chambers Street and West Broadway at about 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 when she was attacked by a man, she told police.

The thief snatched her purse and quickly rifled through it. He grabbed her iPhone 6 and her $350 Cyber-shot camera and fled, police said.

Police were still investigating the crime as of Tuesday.

Other recent incidents in the 1st Precinct include:

► A $1,300 handbag was stolen from the Marc Jacobs store at 163 Mercer St. on Nov. 29, police said. The female shoplifter swiped the bag, hid it, and walked out of the store at about 12:30 p.m., police said. The store did not immediately return a request for comment.

► A straphanger who fell asleep while riding the R train from Brooklyn realized his backpack had been stolen when he awoke at the Whitehall Street station in the Financial District, police said. When the 25-year-old Staten Island man arrived at the Whitehall stop at about 10 p.m. on Nov. 28, his backpack, which contained his $200 Gucci wallet, $60 in cash and an iPod, was gone.
