MEATPACKING DISTRICT — Bouncers beat up a man after refusing to let him into a swanky nightclub, police said.

Police said the 36-year-old victim got into a fight with security staff at VIP Room at 409 W. 13th St. at about 1:15 a.m. Nov. 21, when they wouldn't let him in.

The victim told police that Pedro Veliz, 25, Felix Arce, 35, and Richard Tariuwa, 37 punched and kneed him in his face and body over and over, until he was left with bruises all over his face and a cut on his head.

Police said the club was initially uncooperative, but officers were eventually able to obtain surveillance video showing the fight.

An employee reached at VIP Room said she was unaware of the incident. A message left for a manager was not returned.

Veliz was charged with assault, attempted assault and harassment, according to court records. Arce and Tariuwa were issued tickets to appear in court Jan. 8, 2015.

Veliz's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment. He is due in court again on Jan. 15, 2015.

The club has been the site of several other recent arrests.

Other recent incidents in the 6th Precinct include:

► A man at Papaya Dog started yelling and then picked up a table and tried to throw it at people, police said.

Faqir Palmer, 26, broke the table and did more than $350 worth of damage at the 333 Sixth Ave. fast food joint about 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, police said.

Palmer was charged with criminal mischief. His attorney did not immediately respond to a voicemail left for comment.

► A woman being escorted out of the Lenox Hill HealthPlex threatened a security guard with a box cutter, police said.

Police said Wanda Rosado, 35, was asked to leave the hospital at 30 Seventh Ave. just after midnight on Nov. 24. She refused, police said, so a 26-year-old man escorted her out.

But Rosado took out a box cutter and threatened the man with it, scaring him, police said.

Rosado was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

She was being held on $500,000 bond or $10,000 cash bail as of Wednesday, according to court records. Her attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

► A smoke shop was busted for the second time this fall for selling untaxed cigarettes, police said.

Police executed a search warrant about 2 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Tobacco King at 200 West 14th St. and arrested Saddam Alsaidi, 24, on a tax law violation for the untaxed cigarettes, police said.

Police said they also found K2, a synthetic marijuana.

Alsaidi was charged with possession or sale of untaxed cigarettes, according to court records.

His attorney declined to comment.

The same smoke shop was raided in September, and two men were arrested.

► Three subway dancers were arrested on a southbound D train at the West 4th Street station after they were spotted somersaulting, dancing and asking for money, police said.

Kenneth Miley, 29, Luis Candelario, 27, and James Gonzalez, 27, were charged with reckless endangerment after they were arrested at 5:50 p.m. on Nov. 20, police said.

Court records indicate charges against Miley and Candelario will be dismissed as long as they stay out of trouble for the next six months. Gonzalez was offered the same option, according to court records, but he refused it and is due back in court on Jan. 22, 2015. He was released without bail.

An attorney for Miley did not immediately respond to a message left for comment. Information on attorneys for Candelario and Gonzalez was not immediately available.
