KENSINGTON — A 14-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon by a driver who was later arrested, police said.

Mohammad Uddin, a Kensington resident, was crossing at East Seventh Street at Caton Avenue about 5 p.m. when he was struck by a maroon Chevy Impala, according to the police.

The car’s driver, 78-year-old Lynn Reynolds, was turning left from Caton Avenue onto East Seventh Street when she hit the teen, who was in the crosswalk, police said. Reynolds, who also lives in Kensington, then fled the scene in the car, police said.

Uddin was rushed to Maimonides Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Police found Reynolds’ car later on Thursday and arrested her. She was charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident causing serious injury, along with failure to exercise due care, a right of way violation and another violation of highway law, the NYPD said.

Information about Reynolds' lawyer was not immediately available.
