THE BRONX — The death of a 3-year-old boy in his grandmother's home over the weekend has been ruled a homicide, a spokeswoman for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Wednesday.

Poseidon Quinones was found unconscious with “trauma to the body,” inside an apartment at 317 East 163rd Street at 1:42 a.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD.

He was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Quinones died of blunt force trauma to the torso and injuries to abdomen, the ME spokeswoman said.

The boy’s grandmother found him unresponsive and called 911, police sources said.

It was not immediately clear if anyone else was in the apartment when she called authorities.

The grandmother took custody of Quinones after children’s services took him from his parents because of neglect, CBS New York reported.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is still active, a police spokesman said.
