MANHATTAN — A man was seriously hurt when a vehicle hit him in Yorkville Sunday night, police said.

The man, who police said is in his 50s, was near York Avenue and East 79th Street the vehicle hit him about 10 p.m., NYPD and FDNY officials said.

He was taken to a New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital with serious injuries, but in stable condition, police said.

A second person was injured, but it was not immediately clear if they were taken to a hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.

The vehicle remained on the scene, NYPD officials said. Police did not immediately have information on if the driver was expected to be charged.
