QUEENS — Kids will get to learn Michael Jackson's "Thriller" zombie dance during a family-oriented event at a haunted house in Jamaica this Saturday, the organizers said.

The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, which is located in the 1895 landmark building, will become "a scary place," providing of sorts of thrills and chills to kids and their parents alike.

Volunteers from local youth organizations will turn into "creepy characters," who will take kids on a tour around the haunted house, the organizers said.

Children will also participate in costume contests and art and crafts.

During the "Thriller" dance workshop, kids will learn how to dance like Jackson to his famous song.

The organizers said that the goal is to provide a safe environment for local families, where kids can wear their spooky costumes and have Halloween fun.

Those visiting The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning for the first time, will be able to check out the venue’s dance studios, classrooms and theater.

The event kicks off this Saturday, Nov. 1, at noon and ends at 4 p.m. Admission is free. For more details go to www.jcal.org or call (718) 658-7400 x123.
