BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn man arrested in Mexico has been charged with stabbing and killing Carlos Santos, 22, during the summer, according to the NYPD.

Christian Morales, 21, was arrested on Oct. 23 for marijuana possession in Mexico, a police spokesman said.

Police down there found out he was wanted in connection with the murder of Santos on Liberty Avenue and Crescent Street on June 18 and alerted U.S. officials, the spokesman added.

He was extradited back to New York on Monday.

Morales stabbed Santos in the head, torso and arm, according to the NYPD.

Santos, who lived on Elton Street, was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Morales was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
