STATEN ISLAND — A man robbed a woman he was romantically involved with at gunpoint, prosecutors said.

Derrick Kirk, 26, was arrested Thursday for the August robbery of the woman in her Mariners Harbor home, prosecutors said.

Kirk had previously met the victim at a nightclub and had been to her place before the robbery, a law enforcement source said.

On Aug. 8, Kirk returned to her Bush Avenue home shortly after 8 a.m., according to court papers. When she answered the door, Kirk pulled a gun and forced his way in, court papers read.

Kirk stole money out of the woman's wallet and her cellphone before he fled, court papers read.

Kirk was arrested Thursday and charged with robbery, burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny, according to the district attorney's office.

Other notable crimes that occurred in Staten Island include:

► A man stole a home improvement van but was caught unloading the tools that were inside near his parents' home, prosecutors said.

Jospeh Cammarano, 25, was arrested on Friday after he stole a 2003 Ford E250 van owned by Bella Home Improvement that was parked near where Cammarano lived in Great Kills, a law enforcement source said.

Cammarano then drove the van to his parent's house on Hylan Boulevard, parked in the driveway and started to unload the power tools from the back, the source said.

But Cammarano was tailed by the owner of Bella Home Improvement and was arrested.

The owner of Bella Home Improvement did not respond to a request for comment.

Cammarano was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle and petit larceny, according to the district attorney's office.

He was issued a $3,000 bond, $1,500 cash bail, and is due back in court on Thursday.

Cammarano was also arrested earlier this year for drug charges, according to court records.

► A woman arrested for drunk driving in 2009 was arrested again for the same thing on Saturday, prosecutors said.

Jennifer Martingano, 36, of Tottenville, was pulled over for traffic infractions by police shortly after 4 p.m. on the corner of Sprague Avenue and Hylan Boulevard, police said.

When police spoke Martingano in her 2013 Honda Pilot, she had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred her speech, court papers read. Martingano also had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and was unsteady on her feet when she exited the car, court papers read.

Martingano told police, "I drank wine. You arrested me before when I got into an accident on the expressway."

She refused to take a blood alcohol test, court papers read.

She was previously arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in 2009 in Brooklyn, court papers read.

Martingano is due back in court on Dec. 9.

► A man caught smoking pot in the hallway of a Mariners Harbor apartment building also had a loaded revolver in his pocket, prosecutors said.
