RED HOOK — A 45-year-old deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint in Red Hook last week, police said.

The victim was delivering Chinese food on Oct. 13 around 9:30 p.m. when two men approached him at 95 Center Mall, police said.

One man brandished a silver handgun and demanded that the deliveryman hand over the food and his money, the victim, who spoke in Mandarin, told police.

The two men, ages 35 and 40, took the food, a cellphone and $85 in cash before fleeing on Henry Street towards Lorraine Street, according to police.

Police also spoke to the resident who was supposed to receive the delivery but the person was not aware of the order, according to the police report.

No arrests have been made in the case as yet.
