FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Two teens grabbed a woman's handbag and escaped on Citi Bikes last weekend, police said.

The victim, a 34-year-old Jersey City woman, told police she was sitting on a bench at Pier 15 in the Financial District on Oct. 19 at about 2 a.m. when the teens swiped her bag from the seat next to her.

The thieves rode off on a pair of Citi Bikes, police said. While peddling down South Street, they took two credit cards and an iPhone 5 from inside the bag, then tossed the purse onto the street.

Police were still investigating the crime as of Tuesday.
