BULLS HEAD — A former Staten Island high school coach faces 30 counts of rape after she had a relationship with a 16-year-old student, prosecutors said.

Megan Mahoney, 24, a former coach at Moore Catholic High School, was arrested and charged Monday with rape, engaging in a criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said.

Between Oct. 2013 and January 2014, Mahoney had sex with the male student at least two times per week, court papers said.

Several of the acts took place on school grounds, the New York Post reported. The accusations also led to athletic director for the school, Richard Postiglione, being stripped of his duties, the Post said.

Mahoney, who resigned from Moore Catholic High School in January, was released without bail at her arraignment on Monday and is due back in court on Dec. 2, according to court records.

Her lawyer, Eric Nelson, did not comment other than to say Mahoney denied all the charges.
