VIDEO: Bronx Man Dies After Being Stabbed Five Times, Police Say

LONGWOOD — A Bronx man was stabbed to death in front of a children's playground early Saturday morning, police said.

Police responded to a call about the attack in front of 744 Fox St. across the street from the Fox Playground about 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 18, according to the NYPD.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim, Rigino Montero, 46, of Tiffany Street, unconscious and unresponsive. Montero had been stabbed twice in the chest and three times on the right side of his body, police said.

Officials took Montero to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A surveillance video shows the suspect with a baseball cap, a black jacket and tan pants near the crime scene.

No arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
