MIDTOWN — A man choked a 34-year-old woman as she left the bathroom of the Flaming Saddles Bar then tried to rape her, police said.

Police released a video of the suspect showing him emerging up the steps at the bar about 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, the time of the assault.

The suspect choked the woman unconscious as she emerged from the bathroom, threw her to the ground then removed her underwear before bar security interrupted him, causing him to flee.

The victim was brought to a local hospital and is in stable condition. The suspect did not know the victim, according to the NYPD.

Flaming Saddles Bar, located on 793 Ninth Ave. and voted 2012 Best Gay Bar by New York Magazine, refused to comment.

The suspect is seen on video sporting dreadlocks and wearing a black hat, a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. Police estimate he's between 35 and 45 years old and weighs 135 to 155 pounds.
