QUEENS — The Who — one of the most influential English rock bands of all time — will return to Forest Hills Stadium next year, more than four decades after their last performance at the venue, the organizers said.

The concert, scheduled for Saturday, May 30, will be part of the band’s 50th anniversary tour, and will feature singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend.

The 38-concert The Who Hits 50! tour will kick off in Tampa on April 15, and end in Philadelphia on Nov. 4.

The Forest Hills concert will open the stadium's 2015 season, the organizers said.

The band will play at the venue more than four decades after their last concert there, which took place in July 1971, according to organizers.

Last year, the stadium, which recently underwent a renovation, organized its first concert in 15 years with a sold-out performance by Mumford & Sons.

Among the bands that played there this summer were Zac Brown Band, Modest Mouse, Brand New and The Replacements.

Tickets will go on sale on Oct. 17, at www.TheWho.com.
