MOTT HAVEN — An 18-year-old was stabbed to death and another man was injured when they were attacked Monday afternoon in The Bronx, police said.

A group of about four men stabbed Joshua Acosta, 18, and a 20-year-old man at the corner of 147th Street and Wales Avenue about 3:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Both victims were taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where Acosta, who was struck in the torso, was pronounced dead.

The second victim, whose name was not released, was stabbed in the back. He was treated for his injuries and released, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine if the victims knew their attackers, according to the NYPD.
