GREENPOINT — The team behind popular Williamsburg oyster bar Maison Premiere plans to open another restaurant in the neighborhood, this time near McCarren Park.

Joshua Boissy, co-owner of Maison Premiere, confirmed to DNAinfo New York that his team would be opening the new spot at 905 Lorimer St., near Nassau Avenue.

Boissy said that details of the restaurant will be determined by the space, which needs to undergo a gut renovation. Financing and permits are still being finalized, he added.

"It will take minimum six months," Boissy said. "It’s in really, really bad condition."

The opening was first reported by Grub Street.

Maison Premiere, also owned by Krystof Zizka, opened in 2011 at 298 Bedford Ave. and earned a spot as a James Beard finalist for its bar program. It's known for its oysters and decor, inspired by vintage hotel lobbies and Parisian cafes.

Boissy said all the exceptional staff members the restaurant had attracted wanted new challenges.

"You have to evolve in order to keep a lot of your talent," he said.
