STAPLETON — After dropping rhymes at a Queens concert, hip-hop star Lil Wayne dropped in for a session at a skate park on Staten Island.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper broke out the board at 5050 Skatepark last month after a stop on his tour with Drake last month for a private ride that was caught on tape and posted online over the weekend.

"He really loves skateboarding," said 5050 owner Ed Pollio. "He's not a Tony Hawk or anything like that, but you can tell he's really into it."

Lil Wayne first visited the Stapleton spot — the city's only indoor skatepark — a few years ago to film a segment for MTV, and Pollio said the rapper tries to stop by whenever's he's in New York.

Pollio said he got a call from the New Orleans-bred musician's manager saying he wanted to come in for a private session after his performance at Forest Hills Stadium on Aug. 19, part of his "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" tour, with skate park staff asking if they could film it.

The video, shot by Marc Meeuwisse, was released on Saturday and shows Weezy pulling a boardslide and a 180 while cruising up down the park's many ramps.

"He definitely got a lot better," Pollio said, who said Lil Wayne's only been skating for a few years. "You can tell he's been practicing."
