UPPER WEST SIDE — A slew of red-faced, sweaty, spandex-wearing cyclists will soon be spinning their wheels on Broadway.

SoulCycle — the cycling studio with a cult following and nine studios in New York City, including one on West 77th Street — is opening a new outpost at 2465 Broadway between West 91st and 92nd streets in early 2015, a lawyer for the company said.

The studio is taking the space vacated by the emergency clinic CityMD, next to Equinox gym, said attorney Adam Rothberg.

The 3,500-square-foot space will have one class studio with 63 bikes, men's and women's locker rooms, and a small entry area for registration and merchandise, he said.

During the 45-minute classes, SoulCycle pumps in loud music and encourages participants to ride as hard as they're able the entire session, but the noise hasn't been an issue at other locations, Rothberg said.

At the new Broadway location, "the building that we’re in is a three-story commercial building," he told Community Board 7 Wednesday night.

"These clubs do go to a great extent with soundproofing," Rothberg added.

The board's land use committee unanimously approved the new studio.

SoulCycle submitted an application to operate a gym with the Board of Standards and Appeals, but the agency has not yet granted its approval.
