TRIBECA — Tribeca Cinemas will pay tribute to late comedian Joan Rivers with a screening of a critically acclaimed documentary about her life to benefit Rivers' favorite charity.

"Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work," a 2010 film that was part of the Tribeca Film Festival, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The movie followed the legendary comedian, then 78, for a year, capturing her hard work and signature off-color humor.

Rivers died at 81 after complications from throat surgery earlier this month.

Proceeds from the tickets, which cost $15, will go to God's Love We Deliver, a nonprofit that delivers food to those suffering from AIDS, HIV, cancer and other illnesses.

A question-and-answer session following the screening will feature the movie's director, Ricki Stern, as well as Rivers' longtime assistant Graham Reed.

Visit the theater's website to purchase tickets and for more information.
