1 Train Not Running Uptown This Weekend

MANHATTAN — 1 train riders are out of luck this weekend.

Starting at 11:30 p.m. on Friday and lasting until 5 a.m. Monday, there will be no 1 train service between 96th and 242nd Streets, the MTA said.

Riders should use the A or C trains, the agency noted.

The MTA will also run free shuttle buses along three routes.

The first route is on Broadway between 96th Street and 168th Street, with some buses making local stops, while others will make express stops at 137th Street, 145th Street and 157th Street.

The second bus will run on St. Nicholas Avenue between 168th to 191st streets. The final bus will run on Broadway from 207th Street in Manhattan to 242nd Street in The Bronx.

The 1 train will operate with normal service from South Ferry to 96th Street, the MTA said.
