16 Subway Lines Face Service Changes This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Construction and repairs will disrupt subway service across the city this week.

Here is your breakdown of the service changes on 16 lines slated for Friday night through early Monday morning:

1 Line — Trains will be suspended in both directions between 96th Street and Van Cortlandt Park-242nd Street from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. A and C trains, the M3 bus and free shuttle buses will provide alternative service.

2 Line — Brooklyn College-bound trains will run express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

3 Line — New Lots Avenue-bound trains will run express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue from 6 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

4 Line — Downtown trains will run local from 125th Street to Grand Central-42nd Street from 11 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday and from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

New Lots-bound trains will run express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue from 11:45 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday night and Saturday night and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

5 Line — Service will be suspended between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will run between Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street, stopping at Baychester Avenue, Gun Hill Road, Pelham Parkway and Morris Park.

6 Line — Trains will skip Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue in both directions at all times through February 2015.

For service to and from Zerega Avenue, use the Bx4 or shuttle buses to connect to Castle Hill Avenue

For service to and from Buhre Avenue, use the Bx8, Bx24 or shuttle buses to connect to Middletown Road.

Trains will run every 16 minutes between 3rd Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The last stop on some Pelham Bay Park-bound trains will be 3rd Avenue-138th Street.

Pelham Bay Park-bound rains will also run express from Parkchester to Pelham Bay Park from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday.

7 Line — Trains will run express from Mets-Willets Point to 74th Street-Broadway from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

A Line — Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to 59th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard-bound trains will skip 111th Street in Queens from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

At all times until later in the month, Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will skip 88th Street, and Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will skip 104th Street due to stations repairs at 88th Street and 104th Street.

For service to 88th Street, take the A to Rockaway Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

For service from 88th Street, take a Brooklyn-bound A to 80th Street and transfer to a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard-bound A.

For service to 104th Street, take the Lefferts Boulevard-bound A to Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

For service from 104th Street, take the Q112 bus or take the A to Rockaway Boulevard and transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A.

C Line — Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to 59th Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

D Line — Service is suspended between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and 34th Street-Herald Square from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

E Line — Jamaica Center-bound trains will skip Briarwood-Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue from 12:15 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica Center-bound trains will also run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:15 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 12:15 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.

F Line — Jamaica-bound trains will skip Briarwood-Van Wyck Boulevard, Suthpin Boulevard and 75th Avenue from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound trains will run express from Avenue X to Smith-9th Streets in Brooklyn from 6:45 p.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.

G Line — Court-Square-bound trains will skip Fort Hamilton Parkway, 15th Street-Prospect Park and 4th Avenue-9th Street from 6:45 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.

N Line — Trains will run local in Brooklyn, stopping at DeKalb Avenue, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Q Line — Service is suspended between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Prospect Park from 10:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Riders can take the D, F or N trains or shuttle buses instead.

Shuttle buses will run along two routes:

► Express between Stillwell Avenue and Prospect Park, stopping at West 8th Street, Ocean Pkwy, Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Neck Road, Avenue U, Kings Highway, and Flatbush Avenue.

► Local between Prospect Park and Kings Highway, stopping at Parkside Avenue, Church Avenue, Beverley Road, Cortelyou Road, Newkirk Plaza, Avenue H, Avenue J and Avenue M.

R Line — Brooklyn-bound trains will run express from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to Queens Plaza from 6:30 a.m. Saturday to 12:15 a.m. Monday.

Service is suspended between 59th Street and 36th Street in Brooklyn from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday. Riders can take the N train instead.

Service continues to be suspended between Court Square in Brooklyn and Whitehall Street Manhattan for Hurricane Sandy recovery work on the Montague Tube. Late-night N and R service is rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge.
