TOMPKINSVILLE — A super at a Staten Island condo building beat a man over the head with a broom — and injured four NYPD officers while being arrested — after he saw the man littering, prosecutors said.

Michael Carnavon, 57, was sweeping outside of The Pointe, at 155 Bay St., on Monday morning when a 45-year-old man littered in front of him, the Staten Island Advance first reported.

Carnavon told the victim to move away and when he didn’t, hit him on the hand and head with the broom handle, according to court documents. The attack left a cut on the victim’s head, court papers show.

When officers responded to the scene, Carnavon flayed his arms and resisted arrest and was eventually Tasered by an officer and transferred to Richmond University Medical Center, court papers show. Four police officers were ultimately injured as they worked to place Carnavon under arrest, a law enforcement source said.

Carnavon has been charged with two counts of assault, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon, prosecutors said.

This wasn’t the first time Carnavon was arrested, the source said.

In February, Carnavon was accused of threatening a man with a box cutter in line at the Bolla Market near the Mobil Station at 231 Bay St. after Carnavon and the man had an argument over standing too close to each other, the source said.

Carnavon told the man “I’ll cut you to pieces," according to court documents.

He was charged with menacing and criminal possession for that incident, according to court documents.
