CHELSEA — A thief ran off with a 13-year-old boy’s Nikes after the teen approached him on the street asking for directions to a sneaker show last weekend, the NYPD said.

The boy went up to the stranger at the corner of West 34th Street and 10th Avenue about 6:30 p.m. Saturday to ask the way to the Javits Center, which was hosting the Solexchange Sneaker Show, police said.

Instead of giving directions, the suspect offered him $100 for his blue Nike Foamposites — worth about $250, police said.

“Let me see if they’re fresh,” he told the teen, according to police.

But when the boy took off his shoes and passed them over, the thief took off, police said. He was still at large as of Thursday.

Other recent crimes in the 10th Precinct include:

► A couple of thieves snatched $5,500 worth of LeBron James shoes from a sneaker fan at the Solexchange Sneaker Show at the Javits Center over the weekend, police said.

The 32-year-old victim told police he went to his car on Saturday at about 1:40 p.m., and when he returned to the Javits Center, his LeBron 9 Reverse "LeBronold Palmer" shoes and LeBron 4 Graffiti kicks were missing from his bag, the NYPD said.

The victim told police he had two acquaintances with him who had vanished.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday, police said.

► An enraged pedestrian shoved a 29-year-old man out of his path as the two walked on a Chelsea sidewalk last week, police said.

“Move out of the way, you gothic phony punk,” the suspect told the victim as they walked at the corner of 20th Street and 11th Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 4, according to the NYPD. The suspect then shoved the man.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital with bruises and pain in his left foot, police said.

The suspect had a beard and was wearing a baseball cap and jeans at the time of the incident, police said.

► A hotel guest returned to her room last week to find almost $800 worth of goods missing from her safe, the NYPD said.

The 51-year-old victim walked into her room at the Quality Inn, on 36th Street between Ninth and Tenth avenues, on Sept. 6 about 10 a.m. after going sightseeing and found the safe open and her jewelry, cash and headphones gone, police said.

There were no signs of forced entry, the NYPD said.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday.
