CHELSEA — A man was shot in the shoulder during an argument outside the Chelsea Houses Monday evening, police said.

The 21-year-old Bronx resident was visiting his cousin at the NYCHA housing complex when he got into a fight with another man outside of 425 W. 25th St. at about 11:30 p.m., according to NYPD and the victim's cousin.

After the victim was shot, he went inside the building and took the bullet out himself, according to a witness, who asked not to be identified.

“He’s all right,” said the witness, who spoke to the victim after the shooting. “For him to come down here and get shot is unexpected. He was just hanging out.”

The victim, who witnesses said is a father of three, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, officials said.

There were no arrests as of Tuesday morning, police said.
