BOERUM HILL — A man was shot in the leg at the Wyckoff Gardens housing complex in Boerum Hill late Monday, police said.

The 25-year-old victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was shot about 11:45 p.m. at 185 Nevins St., near Warren Street, police said.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Michael Spencer, 61, who lives in the 21-story building, said that he heard a gunshot as he was trying to sleep inside his eighth-floor apartment Monday night.

"I just heard one shot," Spencer said. "I was surprised. You don't really hear gunshots around here."

A representative for the New York City Housing Authority directed questions to the NYPD.
