Woman Robbed at Knifepoint on East Village Street, Police Say

MANHATTAN — A woman was robbed at knifepoint on an East Village Street early Monday morning, police said. 

The victim, 35, was outside 405 E. Sixth St., near First Avenue, about 5 a.m. when the suspect held her up with a knife, stealing her Donna Karan wallet with $300 and credit cards inside, as well as her iPhone 4S, the NYPD said.

The woman suffered slight cut on her wrist while struggling with attacker, police added.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, standing 6 feet tall and wearing blue jeans, police said.

No further information was immediately available.
