MANHATTAN - A woman was killed when a yellow cab smashed into her on the Upper East Side Friday afternoon, police said.
According to invesitgators, a taxi that was traveling north on Madison Avenue made a left turn onto 79th Street around 2 p.m. striking the 58-year-old woman as she tried to cross the street.
The woman was rushed to Lenox Hill Hospital where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
It was not immediately clear if there was criminality.
