Ricky's Halloween Pop-Up Coming to Inwood

INWOOD — Trick or treat!

Chain costume and accessories shop Ricky’s NYC will open a Halloween pop-up on the ground floor of a new Broadway apartment building, the store said.

The shop will launch inside The Stack, the prefabicated apartment building just north of Academy Street, said a Ricky's spokeswoman, who noted on Friday that the store should be open within a week.

Ricky's previously opened a pop-up Halloween shop in Washington Heights on 181st Street, but has never ventured this far uptown. The northernmost permanent location for the retailer, which sells beauty supplies and fashion accesories, is on Broadway near 114th Street.

For now, the eventual closing date for the Inwood pop-up is open-ended, the spokeswoman added.

“If it does great business, it could become a permanent store,” she said. “All Ricky’s stores start as temporary to test the location."
