Video Shows Suspect Running from Scene of Daytime Killing, Police Say

ELMHURST — The NYPD has released surveillance video of man wanted in connection with a deadly daytime stabbing earlier in August.

The suspect allegedly stabbed Mukesh Patel, 50, to death inside the lobby of his apartment building on Broadway near St. James Avenue after 2 p.m. on Aug. 22, according to police.

Patel was brought to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Surveillance video obtained by the NYPD shows the suspect running on Broadway and fleeing the scene after the attack.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt, colored shorts and black sneakers.
