ASTORIA — Eight people, including two firefighters, were hurt in a fire that broke out early Tuesday in a two-story building, officials said.

The blaze started at 1:02 a.m. on the second floor of 25-88 41st St., near 28th Avenue, an FDNY spokesman said. It was caused by an unattended candle, according the fire department's official Twitter account.

A total of 106 firefighters responded to the blaze, which was brought under control about an hour later, the spokesman added.

The hurt all suffered minor injuries and were all taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the spokesman.
