MANHATTAN — When police arrested a soda thief inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal Thursday they discovered he had a loaded handgun and a knife with a gun-like handle, the PAPD said.

Vincent Pierce, 37, had swiped a soda from a Hudson News stand about 11 a.m. so two plainclothes Port Authority Police officers chased after and caught him, the PAPD said.

Pierce, who lived on Fox Street in Longwood, was carrying a .45 caliber pistol along with a small knife that was shaped like a handgun, according to the PAPD.

He was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, weapons possession and petit larceny, the PAPD said.
