MANHATTAN — Lena Dunham and Spike Jonze are hosting a fundraiser this fall for the Lowline, a proposed underground park on the Lower East Side.
The “Girls” creator will join the "Her" director at the Lowline's third annual Anti-Gala on Oct. 8 at Skylight Modern in Chelsea, organizers announced.
“We’re looking at opportunities to shake this up a bit," Dan Barasch, Lowline co-founder, said of the plans for this year's gala.
The event is meant to raise money for the project while also poking fun at traditional gala events.
This year it will include “a creative performance element to it that will be inspiring," Barasch said, though he added that details are not yet finalized.
