BROOKLYN — A high school teacher was arrested after making violent threats against his neighbors in Bushwick early Monday morning, police said.

Christopher Bennett, 29, a teacher at Harlem's Bread & Roses Integrated Arts High School, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest Monday at 5:27 a.m., according to the NYPD.

Bennett, who has worked for the Department of Education since 2012, scared neighbors with his violent threats, an NYPD spokesman said. It’s unclear if he was threatening a specific individual or a group of people, he added.

The Department of Education confirmed Bennett is a teacher but did not say whether he faces any disciplinary actions.

Bread & Roses, located on 136th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, focuses on the arts and social justice, according to its website.
