BRONX — A woman stabbed the father of her child multiple times in the chest during a July 7 dispute, police say.
The fight erupted shortly after noon inside a home near Walton Avenue in The Bronx's 44th Precinct. Police did not specify an exact location.
The suspect, 21-year-old Tanaysha Cerge, stabbed the victim, a 39-year-old man, several times in the chest before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was in stable condition, police say.
Police said they did not know the nature of the argument.
Cerge and the victim have a child in common, but they are not married, according to the NYPD.
Police have described Cerge as roughly 5-foot-7 with brown hair, brown eyes and glasses.
