DITMARS — Caffe Bene, a South Korean coffee shop chain that recently opened a location in Sunnyside, is planning two more in Astoria this summer — with one offering shaved ice treats.

The first is slated to open in mid-July at 32-14 Steinway St., near Broadway, while the second will be located at 31-30 Ditmars Blvd., near 31st Street, and is expected to open in early September, according to a representative for the company.

Both sites will serve the same items as other Caffe Bene locations, which include coffee drinks, smoothies, bubble teas, waffles, desserts and other baked goods.

The Steinway Street location will also be offering a seasonal summer menu, including an ice parfait that's a take on bingsu, a popular Korean dessert.

It's made with shaved ice and gelato mixed with various syrups, nuts, fruits and other sweet toppings. The ice parfait will come in flavors like strawberry, cookies and cream and New York cheesecake.
