ASTORIA — The show will go on.

A new flea market that launched this spring in the outdoor movie lot at Kaufman Astoria Studios has been extended through the end of summer.

The Astoria Flea & Food was originally planned to run for at least eight consecutive Sundays and will now continue every Sunday through Labor Day weekend, according to Joshua Schneps of Schneps Communications, who launched the market as well as the LIC Flea & Food in Hunters Point.

The Astoria market takes place at the Kaufman Astoria's backlot on 36th Street between 34th and 35th Avenues, a 34,800 square-foot space that debuted in December as the city's only outdoor working stage.

The market features food vendors, antiques, collectibles, arts, crafts and fashion, according to organizers.
