MANHATTAN — A man died after being hit by a subway train in an apparent suicide at the Herald Square station Wednesday, an FDNY spokesman said.
The unidentified victim was struck by a south-bound F train about 1:50 p.m., an MTA spokesman said.
Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene.
South-bound F trains were temporarily running on the E line from Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights to West Fourth Street. Metropolitan Avenue-bound M trains are running on the E line from Fifth Avenue-53rd Street to West Fourth Street.
