FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A woman had nearly $8,000 in cash stolen after a thief grabbed her purse as she walked out of the Fulton Street 4 train station last week, police said.

The 39-year-old Brooklyn woman told police that as she left the station on June 3 about 2:55 p.m., a man grabbed her $240 black leather bag from her hand then quickly fled back into the subway.

Her purse contained $7,850 in cash, as well as her iPhone 5.

Police were still investigating the crime as of Wednesday.

Other recent incidents in the 1st Precinct include:

► A man had two bicycles stolen from outside of 350 Broadway on June 7 about 7 p.m., police said. The victim told officers that he chained his $2,200 Tern folding bicycle and his $850 Prodeco electric bike to a pole outside, and when he returned less than two hours later, he found the chains cut and the bikes missing.

► Two men and a woman shoplifted a $1,950 handbag from the Porsche Design boutique at 465 West Broadway on June 3, police said. Video surveillance shows the woman quickly snatching the fuchsia Porsche Design Twinbag off a shelf, then dropping it into a larger white bag that one of the men was carrying, police said. The trio walked out of the store unnoticed.
