MIDTOWN — A man was killed after jumping onto the 7 train tracks at the Grand Central subway station Monday shortly about 1:20 p.m., halting service on the line, authorities said.

Police said they believe the death to be a suicide.

MTA temporarily suspended service on the line between Grand Central and Queensboro Plaza, according to its website.

Transit officials suggested taking the N or Q lines as an alternative route.
