TRIBECA — Demi Lovato will headline this year's NYC Pride dance party, organizers announced.

The pop star is slated to perform June 29 at the Dance on the Pier event at Pier 26 in TriBeCa.

She will come to NYC Pride fresh off an appearance as grand marshal in this year's LA PRIDE Parade on June 8, where she will perform for parade goers.

In a statement, Lovato said she is "wholly committed to supporting individuality and being comfortable in one’s own skin."

"I am thrilled to be a part of both events as they are a wonderful celebration of independence and self-confidence," Lovato said.

Dance on the Pier has been an NYC Pride tradition for nearly three decades, according to event organizers, and it is Pride's biggest fundraiser, pulling in more than $45,000 in grants to local nonprofits each year. Some of the music world's biggest stars have headlined the celebration, including Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston and, last year, Cher.

NYC Pride runs from June 21 to June 29. Tickets to Dance on the Pier can be purchased online.
