BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — The MTA will finally finish installing three new elevators at the Utica Avenue subway station in Bed-Stuy early next month, spokesmen for the agency said.

Bidding on the four-year Fulton Street project began in 2010, as part of the MTA's $29 billion capital program, according to MTA documents.

The MTA originally proposed to build three new elevators and a new ramp from the A/C station's upper mezzanine to its lower mezzanine, with a budget of $20.2 million, according to MTA documents and spokesmen.

That cost was lowered, due to a bid from Robinson Elevator Group, which won the contract in November 2011, according to the company.

The final cost will be $14.125 million, an MTA spokesman said.
