BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn man is fighting for his life after being shot in the head on a city bus Thursday night, police and transit officials said.
UPDATE: THE BROOKLYN DAD DIED AND HIS WIFE REMEMBERED HIM AS "THE BEST MAN IN THE WORLD."
A man was taken into custody in connection to the shooting, but the NYPD did not confirm that he was a suspect.
The violence broke out at 6:30 p.m. aboard the B15 bus on Marcus Garvey Boulevard near Lafayette Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to the NYPD. It was not immediately known if the victim was the shooter's intended target.
The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
