TriBeCa Cinemas to Celebrate Harold Ramis With 'Ghostbusters' Screening

 Ramis, who famously played Dr. Egon Spengler in the much-loved film he co-wrote, died on Feb. 24.

TRIBECA — Dr. Egon Spengler and the rest of his ghost-busting crew are headed home to TriBeCa.

As a tribute to the late Harold Ramis, Tribeca Cinemas — which sits a few blocks from Hook & Ladder 8 firehouse, the "Ghostbuster"s headquarters in Ramis' comedy classic —  is set to screen the 1984 movie next week.

Ramis, who famously played Egon and co-wrote “Ghostbusters," as well as host of beloved films including “Groundhog Day” and “Caddyshack," died on Feb. 24 at the age of 69.

The special screening, slated for March 21, includes a one-hour open bar before the film at the 54 Varick St. theater.
