CROWN HEIGHTS — A couple was found dead of an apparent heroin overdose in their Brooklyn bedroom Sunday night, police sources said.

Geoffrey Boos, 28, and Sara Boudreaux, 26, who recently moved to New York from Florida, were last seen alive Friday evening in their apartment on 970 Eastern Parkway, said roommate Meral Daniel, 39.

"They were loud," Daniel said. "Talking, music, drugs."

Daniel often smelled marijuana and a strong gasoline-type smell coming from their bedroom.

Daniel said the couple's apartment was uncharacteristically quiet all day Saturday and most of Sunday. It wasn't until someone looking for the couple knocked on their door about 7 p.m. that Daniel grew suspicious.

She tried the bedroom door and found it locked, she said, prompting her to call 911.

She said when officers arrived and forced the bedroom door open, "Their bodies were inside."

Officers found Boudreaux on the bed and Boos on the floor. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, police sources said.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office had issued a warrant for Boudreaux's arrest in 2011 after she failed to show up to court on drug related charges, according to public records.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. A police spokesman said there were no signs of trauma and it did not appear that anyone had broken into the apartment.
