CHELSEA — Five people were seriously hurt when two cars collided in Chelsea Thursday morning, the FDNY said.

The cars collided about 4:30 a.m. near Ninth Avenue and West 20th Street, an FDNY spokesman said.

Five people were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they were listed in serious condition, the FDNY said.

Another person received minor injuries but did not go to the hospital.
