THE BRONX — A Bronx man was struck and killed by a car while trying to cross the Major Deegan Expressway Friday morning.

Curtis Jones, 53, was walking east on the southbound lane about 5:40 a.m. when he was hit by a 2003 Nissan Altima driving near the Van Cortlandt Park South exit, police said.

The 46-year-old driver pulled over and remained on the scene.
