GREENPOINT — A landmarked building next to Kickstarter's headquarters near the Greenpoint waterfront is up for sale.
The building at 74 Kent St., which served as part of the historic Eberhard Pencil Factory, officially hit the market Tuesday, brokers from CPEX Real Estate said. The three-story structure includes 17,485 square feet of space and is zoned for hotel, retail or office use, documents for the building show.
The building housed the factory of the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company, "one of Brooklyn's most important factories," from 1872 to 1956, city documents show.
Brokers also said the building could easily be converted to residential space if it received the appropriate rezoning approval. They declined to comment immediately on the asking price of the structure.
