WILLIAMSBURG — The body of a woman with cuts to her neck was found in a parking lot behind a Williamsburg lumber yard Tuesday afternoon, police and fire officials said.

The unidentified woman in her 30s was discovered under a quilted moving blanket about 3:30 p.m. by Boro Park Lumber Yard & Home Center, near the intersection of Division and Kent avenues, an FDNY spokesman said.

A employee of the home center, who would only identify himself as Carlos, said he was surprised by the grim discovery.

"You never see things like this," he said.

The woman had cuts to her neck which may indicate she was stabbed or slashed to death, a police spokesman said.

But investigators are waiting for the Medical Examiner to determine cause of death, police said.
