BROOKLYN — Police were looking for a suspect this week who sucker punched a 63-year-old man, critically injuring him in an unprovoked attack on a Bushwick street, according to police and surveillance video.

A surveillance camera at the scene recorded the suspect and a woman walking together down the street in front of 229 Knickerbocker Ave. about 3:52 a.m. on Sept. 14 while the older man walked toward them from the opposite direction.

The suspect then decked the victim in the face, sending the man tumbling to the ground, the video shows. The two suspects bent over him and reached into his pockets before walking away, cops said.

The victim was taken to Wyckoff Hospital where he remained in critical condition Wednesday under police protection, according to police.

Investigators have not been able to speak with the victim yet and are unsure if any of his property was taken, sources said.
