QUEENS — A man was gunned down in broad daylight on Friday evening in Jackson Height, according to police.
Cops responded at 5:54 p.m. to a 911 call of a shooting at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and 90th Street, in the heart of the busy Jackson Heights neighborhood, cops said.
There, they discovered a 33-year-old man lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds in his neck and head, at 89-09 Roosevelt Ave., right next to the 7-train station at Elmhurst Avenue.
The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
No arrests have been made, said police, and an investigation into the crime is ongoing.
A resident who didn't want his name used, for fear of retaliation, said there was a large group of men that were fired at by passengers in a vehicle.
The victim's dentity has been withheld pending family notification, said police.
